Program Manager

Meet Iris, your Mentorly assistant

What Iris is, where to find her, the three kinds of questions she answers, and what to do when she cannot help.

What Iris can and cannot see

The data Iris reads, the four limits built into her, where your conversations are stored, and what to do about anything confidential.

Getting good answers from Iris

How to phrase a question so Iris can answer it, what to ask as a program manager, a mentor or a mentee, and what to do when an answer looks wrong.

Mentorly Notifications in Slack

Send Mentorly notifications to Slack as direct messages, with booking actions built right into the message. Email is always the fallback.

Connecting Slack to Your Account

How a program manager connects Slack so notifications for every program in the account are delivered as Slack direct messages.

Delegating the Slack Install to Your Admin

If you cannot install apps in your team Slack, send a secure link to the person who can, without giving them a Mentorly account.

Segments: Custom Profile Fields for Your Program

Use segments to define the profile fields your members fill in, then put them to work in onboarding, matching, filtering, and analytics.

Creating a Custom Segment

A step-by-step guide to adding your own profile fields, choosing a field type, and setting up the options your members can pick from.

How Visibility and Matching Work

Understand the two switches on every segment - showing a field on member profiles, and using it to match mentors and mentees.

Building Your Onboarding with Segments

Arrange the fields your members complete when they join, decide what is required, and control the order with a simple drag-and-drop builder.

Importing and Updating Member Data by CSV

Download a template with a column for every segment, fill in or update member answers in bulk, and upload it back with built-in validation.

Translating Your Segments

Give your members their onboarding questions and answer options in every language your program supports.
